Automate Shelly Cloud directly from Home Assistant

Integrating devices via local control is great, but there are scenarios where having direct access to the Shelly Cloud API inside Home Assistant makes a huge difference—whether for cloud-based scenes, status sync, or remote management.

To bridge this gap, I’ve created a custom integration: hass-shelly-cloud.

Key Features

  • Direct API Integration: Connects your Home Assistant instance seamlessly to the Shelly Cloud service.
  • Control & Monitoring: Access device states, relays, and cloud-driven attributes.
  • Easy Setup: Designed to be lightweight, fast, and easy to configure.

Feedback, issue reports, and contributions are more than welcome! Feel free to give it a star :star: if you find it useful.

Really?

When and why?

In my case, I needed to configure a Shelly relay to use at my parents’ house and be able to trigger it from home without setting up a VPN to link both networks.

With any other brand, you get out-of-the-box remote access, but with Shelly, I couldn’t find a way to do it.
