I have integrated my irrigation water meter and my Rachio irrigation controller into HA and want to set up an automation to help with leak detection.
Basically, I want to get an alert if there is an hour where water usage is detected but the Rachio doesn’t show as having been active in that hour. I’m using an hour as the scale because the water meter I have only refreshes data hourly.
I know I can detect the current status of the irrigation zones as I created an automation that pauses my automower if any of them are active and unpauses when all are inactive, but I’m not sure if there is a way to cross-reference activity over a time scale with the results of my meter over that timescale.
