I know it’s a joke, but if the door auto closed on the old fridge, that means the footers were tilting the fridge backwards a bit. We cycle old fridges in our garage and none of them auto close. Our current one is from `94.

I assumed it was a safety feature for kids and pets that they wouldn’t self close but again I knew this fell outside of tje scope of the joke.
Look at other things we used in past now banned for their dangers like mercury thermometers, raw milk, switchblades and foreign routers.
What next? Cash
