Is that the Nepal version?
I’ve seen some in my time in the insurance industry many years ago, and have been begged for data recovery. You’d be surprised what you can suck off the surface of a platter if paid enough money, and working with the right gear in a clean room.

Beginner mistake. Always check the connections. 
Often the pressure wash seems to dislodge them. Use clean cold water - no chemicals.
Wait till it dries and the act of reconnecting wipes the thin film of oxide off the connectors long enough to get the data off and deny the insurance claim.

Yeah, instead of chemicals a high-pressure cleaner will do fine!
With clean cold water, yes. It dries with no residue.
Seen those “how to clean a flood damaged car” YouBoob videos? Everything gets a wash to remove the mud and stop the oxidation process.
