Not automation falling short but you get the idea

If it wasn’t for eWeLink charging I would never have move to HA to get away from the cloud.

My point was more that they get that.
We have wanted that for years.

Paying for ewelink is a meme.

They say if you are not paying for the product you are the product being sold. So is this a case then of you paying for the product. You then pay to use the product and then you are sold as the product…!

Ouch, that hurts :exploding_head: And unfortunately: It is almost always true.

I never go in there. Certainly not in a hurry to do so now.

Then the rest of the family proceeds to put new groceries in on the right (in the main compartment, reverse on the door).

Wow, brings me back! I am pretty sure I remember seeing this very one in real life…

My father (a machine designer) had a folder full of these that we used to love to leaf through when we were kids (some of them definitely weren’t for kids! ). Many had been photocopied so many times that their quality had degraded with many dots/artifacts from the many copies of copies.

I remember there were even some purple (mimeographed?) ones in there.

Setting up an energy dashboard…

If you really want your mind blown on this subject, watch the first episode of the latest season of black mirror.

PS. It’s not for the faint hearted. Also, yes, that’s the same guy from the IT Crowd.

Sounds like I should watch it too. Black mirror always cuts close to the bone. That episode a few years ago about the british PM and the pig was a little too close to the truth for comfort. We see but through a mirror darkly.

The PM and the pig episode was the very first episode. I was put off the series, particularly as we watched it with the teenagers. Talk about cringe.

Started watching the next episodes after the revulsion wore off. It got better.

Life imitates art. That day is fast approaching.
