But when I add for it fails since it requires to have to as well.

I put in a feature request for this in December and it got a few votes. I thought for some reason that I saw that it had been implemented.

Right now the “for:” option is only available in a state trigger (maybe others as well) when used with a “to:” transition but it isn’t available when using a “from:” transition. use case: trigger: platform: state entity_id: person.me from: some_zone for: '00:10:00'
