Automation - Grab current preset of WLED light to return to that preset.

I have duplicate automations set up -one for when my washer completes its cycle and one for when the dryer completes its cycle. They change my preset on wled strips in my office to specific patterns. Currently, after the washer or dryer complete patterns are ran for 20 seconds, they switch the preset back to a plain white one I have set. I would like to grab the current preset at the beginning of the actions, run the washer or dyer complete preset, then return to the original preset.

I have googled, went through the available action items, and more trying to find something that lets me save the initial preset as a variable to be used in the final action to return the lights back, but I cant find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

maybe dynamically saving and loading scenes (or preset scenes)?

You could store the preset in an input select or an input text helper.

Maybe if you can specify the WLED preset select as the scene entity. I’m not sure if scenes work with entities from that domain.
