Automation if statement

I’m trying to work out the building blocks and if statements etc but not getting my head around it.

I want to do the following:

Trigger event

Action
If AppleTV is on and
If Apple TV is playing
then Pause Apple TV
Play TTS announcement on google home
If Apple TV is on
then Play apple TV (resume content)
Play TTS announcement on google speaker

The TTS announcement needs to play regardless of the state of the apple.

Advice greatly appreciated

The Apple TV can’t be playing if it isn’t on, so surely the action should be more like…

If Apple TV is playing…

  • Pause TV
  • Play announcement
  • Resume TV

Else…

  • Play announcement

Its an event that triggers the automation
