Automation triggen when device is down

I just want to ask about this:
When an automation triggers due to time trigger for example at 4:00:00 AM, but the wifi light switch went unavailable at 3:58:00 and was back 4:00:02 ,so the automation fired blank .Is it there a way beside the juggling with the MQTT Retain to solve this ?

for example, you can wait for a reasonable amount of time for your device to become available and then do what’s needed.
