In the automation overview, I can see when the automation was last executed. It would be much more interesting for me to see when it will be executed next. Of course, this only works for events that are calculated over time because they depend on sunrise and sunset or times. What is missing is a switch with which I can set whether I want the last or the next execution to be displayed.
Example: I’m sitting on the terrace and wonder when the shutters will go down and lock me out.
Pretty sure there’s a feature request for this you can vote for. Search here: Feature Requests - Home Assistant Community
I’m also pretty sure it is unlikely to be implemented when you can easily add a next sunrise / sunset sensor to your dashboard.
It’s not just sunset or sunrise, there’s mostly an offset coming with it. So i don’t want to calculate it all the time but have it on a glance.
HA calculates it anyway, so why not just show it?
If you want this you are going to have to create your own template sensors.
You should add conditions to your automation so that this won’t happen.
Is the lights on outside? is the door open? etc.
Can i have it in the titlebar of the automation then instead of last executed?
No it will be a sensor on your dashboard.
Should be much easier than going through settings and automations and scrolling down.
Like this:
A sensor that shows when my next alarm is.
It was just an example!
So was mine.
Be specific then
