Awning - Swap Open to Closed and Closed to Open

Hopefully this is a very easy question and I’m just not grasping it.

I had an awning installed the other day - and I’m pretty sure it was setup backwards in regards to the motor/remote. When I put it into Home Assistant (And subsequently Apple Home) the system thinks that it’s open when it’s closed and closed when it’s open. The buttons are also reversed.

How would I code it into Home Assistant that it’s supposed to be the opposite?

It’s set as an awning for the type of device.

Also - the awning has a light built in (I’m using RFXCOM as an intermediary) and I don’t see an option to toggle the light, but in RFXMGR that was there (I configured there first and transferred that to Home Assistant)

Thank you very much for your help! I set up Home Assistant just to integrate this awning so I’m very new at it.

You will need to share how you incorporated the awning into home assistant or we will just be guessing. e.g. template cover yaml correctly formatted for the forum.

Install the Spook integration and then use its inverse helper to flip it around.

I was able to get this sorted (Reversing it) but I’m stuck on the light - I can’t figure out how to get it going.

The Awning is a Dooya motor (Hanso Awning) and I used the RFX-433EMC In USB mode connected to the Pi. I am using the RFXCOM Integration.
