Backup encryption key not working

The SSD on the pi at my parent’s house died.
I bought them a T520 and am trying to restore the backup from Nabu Casa.

When asked for the encryption key, I paste the key that I saved and get the following error:

The provided encryption key was incorrect, please try again.

I have used GitHub - cogneato/ha-decrypt-backup-tool to decrypt the backup I downloaded and there the key worked…

So, I think I have two choices;
-find another way to get the key working
-Manually uploading an unencrypted backup / or the raw files

Can anyone assist me?

I think an unencrypted backup is just a tar and zip, so if you can decrypt it theb you should be able to easily make an unencrypted backup file too.
