I have multiple HA instances.
I configured the same network share as a backup target.
It appears the new backup system gets confused when multiple HA instances use the same share.
The most recent backup looks ok, but all the others are broken, showing as zero bytes the files missing from the share.
I imagine a simple fix for this would be to allow us to specific share + subdirectory for each instance…
Creating separate shares for each instance would also be a fix, but feels silly.
I moved this into a feature request, as I have not seen anyone try this yet and I think it’s a new problem. Voting for it might help your cause to get an answer.

Sorry to say but it’t a good sense to use different places (at least directories) for different backups or you just end up with a mess !!

That’s the point Vincen… you cannot specify directories. Currently you can only specify the share.
Problem solved if you can have sharename/directoryname
you create different shares which is always better just in case something goes wrong with backup system of one device
