Banned from my HA

After copy/pasting some code to my configuration I am now completely locked out/banned from my own HA. Can’t access locally or via NabuCasa. I’m working with a Raspberry 4 and SSD.

Are you banned or did you mess up the config so badly that it does not boot anymore?

I get 403 forbidden. It boots up fine, so I think it’s those few lines of code.

Do you have a backup you can revert to?
Can you access it over samba share so that you can edit the config?

What code did you paste? On Windows you can view clipboard history with Windows + V.

Well you have to delete or put # in front configuration.yaml lines that start something like ip ban and delete file ip baned host or something like that.
You have to log in to your host either over ssh or attach monitor and keyboard to comp to log in and change settings.

I have full backups on Google drive, not sure if I have Samba. I installed a lot of add-ons when I started with HA a year ago that I never used.

You can always just plug the SSD into another computer and copy the config folder over.

When I plug the SSD into my mac I can not access the files. The only options given is if I want to format the ssd or eject the disk.

Have you tried plugging it into a Linux machine? You can always use a live version if needed.

You have to mount you ssd to access it. Never used Mac so I don’t know how you mount devices on it.

I was lucky enough to figure out my password to Samba and was able to delete the bad code. I want to thank everyone for your input. It’s so great to have everything up and running again.
