Basic add device

I’m trying to add Xiaomi Temp/Humid LYWSD03MMC to HA…have had marginal progress over several days.

I would like to have a simple success to adding a device to HA…and I mean simple.

It seems like no matter what I do I can’t get anything to work.

I’ve looked at so many youtube vids and googled articles that I’m exhausted.

Any ideas would be more than appreciated.

I’m looking for input from others that may have had similar experience.

There is no integration directly because it is encrypted.

I use an esp32 flashed with Openmqttgateway to add my LYWSD03MMC’s to HA. It is adviced to flash them with alternate firmware to prolong battery life.
