Hi,
I just discoverd that a bayesian sensor can improve my presence from my device tracker.
The next thing i wanted to do is to add this to my user but it only excepts device tracker whereas the bayesian is a binary sensor. reason for doing so is that i want to automate based on people instead of device trackers (because device trackers can change/break/die where people/users tend to stay)
Is there a way/workaround to add the bayesian sensor to user?
Not clear why the Bayesian has to be part of the user. Wouldn’t you be using it alongside the user in some sort of dashboard/automation/template?
Atm my person.x entity is unreliable due to the device_tracker that is producing false detections. the bayesian makes it more reliable.
because it’s more reliable it wanted to add that to the person entity. (via settings > people you can link device trackers to people)
it tracks my and other peoples phone and those will be replaced some day so i want to make automations based on people instead of device trackers hoping to make them less vulnarable to device replacement
