Beckett Rocket Oil Tank Level Monitor

Hi. I’m not having any luck getting my Rocket into HA.
I’m in the US-it operates on 915MHz.
I receive other 915MHz sensors, when I specify 915 in the config template.
Nothing comes through with protocol 43, which supposedly is for the Rocket and the European Apollo Ultrasonic, which operates at 433MHz.
On 433MHz, everything is beautiful, as in my LaCrosse fridge temp gauge.
I’ve ordered a supposedly new old stock Apollo (433MHz) from England via eBay.

I suppose I will try running the Nooelec RTL-SDR v5 dongle on my MacBook Pro and see if I can get anything. I’m sure that’ll go smoothly, lol. Perhaps I should’ve done that before trying the Apollo, but hey, you can’t take it with you.

I wonder if there’s a way to verify that 43 is the correct protocol?

Any help would be great.

I’m running HAOS on a mini PC. Using MQTT Explorer, which is a very nice tool. Standard HA MQTT broker. RML_433.

Thanks.

A perusal of the FCC docs led me to try 914.5 MHz. I also put the sensor close to the dongle antenna, waved a magnet at the dot on the transmitter, and that got things going. The range isn’t awesome, so I wonder if it’s still not the exact frequency. Of course I’ll have to search on how to interpret the depth.

If I’d get the MacBook app going, could it find the exact frequency that it is using, along with perhaps a ThermoPro temp gauge that says it’s 915MHz?

I did get this working, am currently away from pc but will pull my config and share it one day this week.

Thanks much!
