Bizarrely, after power-cycling my device, the update has vanished and the device is reporting that it is up to date on Firmware: 2025.6.2 (ESPHome 2025.7.4)
Forcing the update did nothing. Nothing in the main HA logs and I can’t view logs for a device under vendor control, unless someone can show me a way to do that?
Maybe I’ll just wait and see if the update gets picked up again.
You can view logs for a device under vendor control, but it requires connecting it to a computer and using ESP Web Tools. If you’re able to do that, the logs should tell us what’s going on.

The same happened to me. I clicked the update, it disappeared, then nothing happened.
Update: After following the instructions above, I successfully applied the update.
I connected the device to my PC via USB and it picked up the update immediately. All good now thanks.
There really is something wrong with the updating. I use the entity notes integration - on most update popups it appears at the bottom of the card as usual. In the Elevated Sensors Firmware popup I get "Error loading note".
Does anyone else try to update firmware this way?
The Skip button still works.
Have you been able to connect it to a computer and collect any logs via the ESP Web Tools? If you are able to connect it to a computer, you could also flash the latest firmware from there. I agree something isn't quite working as expected with the previous firmware version and its update procedure. I'm hoping the latest firmware doesn't share the same update issues.
