Hello Z-Wave users,
i just started playing around with z-wave and bought myself a Aeotec USB-Stick and a Fibaro Switch 2 (FGS-213). Installation and integration into HA was no problem, I can control the switch flawlessly.
However I don’t understand all the sensors which are automatically created.
The (what I think) easy ones:
- Energy: Total energy consumption over (a configurable) time period
- Power: Current Power consumption
What I think I learned from various Z-Wave sources on the internet:
- SourceNodeId: Contains the source of a an alarm (if any is received)
- Exporting: Is always „False“, but said to become „True“ if I hat an energy source instead of a lamp, for example a solar panel.
Everything I think is related to local alarms created from my switch but I do not fully understand. From the documentation of the switch I get that it supports an alarm in case of overheating and over-voltage:
- Heat and Alarm: Is always 254 which according to the HA Z-Wave documentation (https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/entities/) means „Unknown event“, is this also „No event“?
- Alarm Type: Will this become „4“ in case of a Heat-Alarm?
- Alarm Level: Whats the difference between this and Heat/Alarm?
Any help is appreciated.
