Best Swimming Pool monitoring solution: ORP, Ph, temp

Yes correct.

I connected RX / TX / GND from the Onboard Chip (Check pinout of that chip by google) to a ESP32 TX / RX / GND.

As far as I remember, without checking, this was my config:
uart:
baud_rate: 115200

and the tuya component.

Thats all you need, except you have RX or TX pin not on default.

How does it work:
I only read the values and do not write any value back.
Any action on a measured value is happening on my ESP32 and attached relays

Hi @boojew,

I ran out of time last summer, so I was not able to test them fully but from a fitting standpoint they look pretty good:

and as far as can tell they work well with @Reunion974 3d printed part. (I was not able to test them under pressure but the parts fit with each other)

Hi @autoX , that’s cool, could you share a picture of the connection? i probably will do the same.

Hi @sesardelaisla ,
what ph reducer pump did you use?
i’m think on installing one as well, i’m looking at this small pumps:

But i’m not sure if it will work because of the water pressure.

Thanks.

I have this pump:

I payed about 65 euros in a large store. You should be able to find such a simple pump easily in your area. It works with mains power supply, so I just had to connect it to a smart socket, and control de socket with simple on and off commands according to pH level with an automation. Some sockets allow to set a countdown to power itself off. I suggest to get one if this for safety purposes, just in case the automation off command fails for some reason.

I think yours will work, although those pumps are usually installed for small/medium aquariums. My pump is installed in a 8.500 liters above-ground pool, and I usally need the pump to be on about 20 seconds every few hours, with the flow set to about 30% (pumps usually allow to adjust the rate within a specific range). The type of pump you are sharing has usually around 25 ml/min flow rate max. I suggest to do some math to guess how much reducer you have to pump into your pool and how long will the pump has to be on according to that. You could also just try that small pump and check whether it works for you. Do not forget to get a suitable power supply for it.
