Best way to dislpay a sensor value? Waveshare, other?

I see the above is supported, but can I show a sensor (from HASSIO) value (the sensor value changes evry 5-10 seconds)???

Can it be battery operated, or would it consume too much?

Yes of course you can. https://esphome.io/components/sensor/homeassistant.html

Battery power, dunno, look at the specs and do some calcs.

I guess I need a e-paper display (or LCD) + ESP module + enclosure + battery

Actually do check that the screen on that one is supported by esphome.

I have set it up here, was a bit tricky, but it’s working.
Still have a minor issue when it’s unavailable (the sensor), that I haven’t figure out yet.
The m5stack option is expensive, but nice.
