I’m looking for a recommendation on Zigbee devices (Preferably not lightbulbs) that can function as a router and work well with both Home Assistant Yellow and Aqara sensors (Vibration, Motion, Door/Window).
I know that there are many devices out there but I’m just looking for a recommendation from someone who shares the same setup
The best devices that can act as mesh router points when not looking at smart lights and bulbs will be your smart light and power switches that have the option and your smart relays are can be installed behind those dumb ones you just want to convert but keep, the next option down is your smart plugs for locations where you are able to use them but don’t want to, need to or are unable to install the former directly.
Apart from that you can depending on distances involved and where you need to set them up invest in ethernet based co-ordinators and setup dedicated mesh networks for each of the locations that then is linked back to your HA instance for management and organized setup. i.e one mesh for the main home another for your barn etc etc.
