Beta - VW Group EU Data Act – vehicle data for VW, Audi, Škoda, SEAT, Cupra & Bentley (official portal)

Hi Oliver, that lines up with what others are seeing and what I’ve checked on my own car today as well.

If the ZIP from the portal already has an old car_captured_time / frozen SoC while MyVolkswagen is up to date, the integration is doing its job. It only mirrors what VW puts in the EU Data Act packages. Fresh ZIP filenames every 15 minutes do not mean fresh vehicle telemetry; the portal often re-packages the last known snapshot.

There’s no HA-side trick to force a resync. Worth keeping the continuous “All Data” request and PRIMARY_USER as they are, and if it stays stuck for longer, open/keep a ticket with VW GIS and mention that the app is current but the Data Act export lags. A redacted portal JSON (VIN removed) in a GitHub issue helps us confirm it’s upstream rather than a mapping bug.

Hi Klogg, yes in principle. On ID.x the portal often puts range under battery_state_report.cruising_ranges.*.range rather than a plain range.value, and that path isn’t always exposed as a curated Electric range sensor yet.

Could you search one of your portal JSON files for cruising_ranges or range and say whether those fields are present? If they are, it’s a mapping gap we can fix. If not, the portal simply isn’t delivering range for that request. A redacted ZIP via GitHub issue would be ideal.

Hi Lalli, sorry you’re still waiting on this.

_no_content_found ZIPs and packages with "Data": [] come from the portal itself. Home Assistant cannot invent sensors from an empty payload, so this is almost always on VW’s side, not the integration.

Your support ticket is the right path. Please hang onto the ticket ID and reply there if it’s been a few days with no update. Opening a GitHub issue with model year, brand, and that you’re only getting empty/no_content packages also helps us track how common this is.

Hi, same pattern as the other recent no_content reports.

If the portal only delivers _no_content_found (or ZIPs with "Data": []), Home Assistant has nothing to map. Driving/charging the car does not force Data Act delivery; that side is still VW/Cupra.

Worth opening or bumping a VW GIS support ticket and mentioning Cupra Born + continuous 15-min All Data + PRIMARY_USER. A short note on GitHub (model year, empty packages only) also helps us see how widespread this is right now.

Hi, if your last real vehicle update was three days ago while packages keep arriving, that is usually the portal re-packaging a stale snapshot rather than an HA bug.

Same check as for others: open a portal ZIP and look at car_captured_time / SoC. If those are frozen but MyCupra is current, report it upstream to VW GIS. The WiCan dongle is a separate path and will not fix Data Act delivery.

Hi Chantal, that matches what I am seeing on my Born as well today: new ZIP names on a ~15-minute cadence, but car_captured_time stuck while MyCupra shows fresh values.

So the integration is syncing correctly; the Data Act export is lagging behind the app. No HA-side resync for that. A VW GIS ticket with “app current, Data Act ZIP stale” is the useful next step. Happy to collect redacted JSON examples on GitHub if useful.

Neither are present, is it still worth passing on the JSON file?

Just trying now for my id7, all I get is 20261006104845_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_no_content_found.zip data files every 15 min. I tried unlocking the car to see if it would wake up and refresh the data set, but no change.

Are you seeing your data files populated on https://eu-data-act.drivesomethinggreater.com/de/en/user/details.html?vin={VIN} ? Or am I using the wrong portal?

Hi all. I have a Passat 2026. This is what I just got from support after complaining that I have “no content found” after several days.

Dear User,

We would like to inform you about a known issue that may have affected your recent vehicle data download request.

Due to a technical problem, some users currently receive a download file containing the message “No Content Found” instead of the requested vehicle data.

Our engineering team is actively investigating and resolving the issue. We are treating this with high priority and are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible.

There is no action required from you at this time.

We will proactively notify you once the issue has been resolved and your data export can be successfully retrieved again.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards,

EU Data Act Support

Volkswagen Group Info Services AG

Hi all,

Volkswagen Group Info Services AG contacted us officially as maintainers about two portal topics. Details are in GitHub issue #62.

There is a sporadic portal issue where some users get a download file with “No Content Found” instead of vehicle data. VW’s engineering team is working on it with high priority. No action is required from affected users right now; they will notify people once it is fixed. That matches the support reply some of you have already received.

In the same notice they announced upcoming technical changes on the EU Data Act portal that may temporarily affect community integrations, especially the login flow. They asked maintainers to adopt the updated flow already shipped in EVCC and ioBroker.

We have already implemented that login update and released it as v0.6.45. Please update via HACS when you can, so you are ready before those portal changes go live. The release notes also mention the “No Content Found” issue.

If you only see empty/no_content packages for now, that is on the portal side. Keep the continuous data request active and try again later once VW has cleared the fault.

I got the same e-mail. But I have this issue for over a few weeks now. I started e-mailing them and eventually it ended up at the devs there. Hope this issue got fixed for me too now…

Today I finally got data!
