I am just starting out with HA and have trouble with the notorious blank app screen problem on my android 14 phone. I understand it is likely due to outdated WebView, I tried update and reinstalling but still no luck.
I also tried with another android 14 phone, still the same blank screen.
What’s weird, when I tried with my old Android 9 phone, it is able to get past that and got to dashboard without problem, thus I am skeptical that it is not WebView issue since that phone is on Chrome Stable.
I already tried the methods in the troubleshooting documentation but nothing works.
Any help would be appreciated.
are you using a custom ROM? if so you need to set the default webview to the one from the play store otherwise the incompatible webview will continue to be used
