BLE TPMS sensors compatible with Home Assistant?

tried all 4 sensors and non of them is recognized via App. The small metal plate is just to secure the removing of the sensor isn’t it?

Didn’t get any metal plate, just locking nuts and a spanner

ok, then I will send them back I think.

Today I got new sensors. I think they are published as AI-8000. But my iPhone app is still not recognizing them.

My ESP32 OMG seems to recognize the AI-8000 devices but only name and rssi value and nothing else. I have already reconfigured ESP to check advanced data and I get updates for this but no more detailled data.

I would really prefer to have internal sensors for my motorhome (a Sprinter which does not have TPMS) and trailers. Does anyone know if there are internal sensors that work with this, or another integration?

internal to the tyre? The ones I bought come as an internal version which would work exactly the same. They are the same electronics but in a different form factor.

Yes, exactly. Which ones did you use?

I got external ones like this, although there are internal mounting ones of the same variety such as these.

Is there a BLE one session limit causing all these connection issues where they are paired to one device and you come along and it ignores you if you try to start another session?

How likely is a random Bluetooth sensor going to be compatible?

I think it should be pretty good since most of them are just copies / rebrands of the same device.

Do we know of those sensors advertised as being Tesla compatible will work? That’s what I seem to be able to easily purchase.

Do you have a link?

These:

I bought one to test with, just need to figure out to test it before ordering 11 of them for my 3500 and double axle trailer.

Why buy Tesla specified ones when they aren’t for a Tesla? More expensive too…

Anyway, I guess you’ll soon see if they work with ESPhome.

I need to get tires (tyres!) this week, and I can’t seem to source cheap ones that quickly.

My suggestion would be to not use the internally mounted ones, problem solved. Plus you don’t have to go to a tyre (tire) shop and spend money when the batteries go flat.

Yeah, that would be simpler. I’ll start there.
