So here I am trying to add bluetooth trackers (BLE?) to my Raspberry Pi5 powered Home Assistant installation.
I tried both Bluetooth Tracker and Bluetooth BLE tracker (and now on iBeacon) and I waited half a day for each before posting this with both but not devices are ever added.
I use the raspberry pi 5’s internal bluetooth and when I goto configure and then visualisation I clearly see devices which tells me it’s enabled and working. Those are all just mac addresses though and I can’t tell anything on those devices. Configuration on the said integrations was done as instructed and the integration is shown on the integrations tab.
Am I missing something? Other integrations like iBeacon only state specific compatible bluetooth usb drives but is that maybe due to them not being updated to mention the raspberry pi 5? Or are these type of BLE devices simply not compatible?
I tried to find more here but tbh I never liked this style of forum/groups and results are hit or miss for me haha
