In the BMW app, I am able to set the charging window (in addition to delayed or immediate charging). However, the BMW Connected Drive integration in Home Assistant does no allow this. My assumption was that BMW would not allow to modify this through their API.
Now I came across the ev.energy app (Smart EV Charging Solutions | ev.energy). This app allows to charge your EV at times when prices are low (aka smart charging). The only thing I had to do is enter the username / pw from my BMW Connected Drive. It applies the smart charging by changing the charging window and charging mode dynamically.
So, here is my question. If there is a 3rd party app that can interface with BMW Connected Drive for changing the charging window in my iX3, would this then also be possible in Home Assistant? If not, why not?
