Bosch Outdoor Siren

I do have a Bosch Outdoor Siren that supports ZigBee. I am trying to add it to Home Assistant, which I run using a ConBee II and ZHA.
I turned it on, and the DIP switch 8 is on (=“smart”). Some LED flashes which might indicate pairing mode, but I am not sure. In any case, it is not detected by HA.

There is an install code on a sticker in the case… not sure when and how I will use it during the installation process.

Does anybody have experience with this device, or a hint what to check?

Ok. Problem solved by calling the action zha.permit and entering the QR Code.

If it helps others, as I got stuck,

Ignore the manual, all dip SWT’s are ‘off’, switch them all to ‘on’

  1. Start the zha.permit duration 120 secs with the QR code (use a camera and copy the long number)
  2. in another window, go to ZHA and add a device, fingers crossed the device will be found.

Also note, I had to make the following configuration changes to make it the control SWT work –

Hi,
I have the ConBee 3 and tried to integrate the siren with ZHA. In developer mode, when using actions with the QR code, as well as with the EUI-64 and the installation code, I get the error:
“The action zha.permit could not be executed. Unknown error”
Is this because of the stick, since it doesn’t support this type of connection?
How did you manage it with the ConBee 2?
