Bosch Solution 2000 / 3000 Alarm Integration

I found that to restart the module remotely when it is disconnected from HA and you are not near keypad or panel.

  • Log into web interface of the module via the IP of the module with password B42V2
  • It will say B426 login success
  • Choose “Basic network settings” on left menu
  • Change IPv6 mode: No to yes or yes to no (it doesn’t matter as it wont save in web ui
  • Click OK
  • it will ask to save and execute
  • Click “Save and Execute” and click ok
  • go to HA open Bosh alarm device and reload the integration,
  • wait a few minutes for it to connect.

hope someone can create a script for this process and we can add a reset button on HA

Bosch just put together a new firmware for the b426-m that is supposed to help with this

note that you also need to update A-link to use this

Wow, it’s so good to have read through this thread from the start and see how it has developed and Bosch’s support. I have been eying off a Solution 3000 with Radion sensors/detectors for a while now and seeing this integration has probably pushed me over the edge, so to speak.

I have one question though, how does this integration differ from the default in HA (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/bosch_alarm/)?

And, slightly OT, if I go for a kit like this: https://cctvmasters.com.au/products/bosch-alarm-kit-bosch-3000-wireless-kit-5-touch-screen-iui-sol-ts5-1-x-wless-receiver-b810-3-x-wle, do I just need to add the B426-M (https://cctvmasters.com.au/products/bosch-b426-m-sol-2000-3000-ethernet-module-ip)?

It’s the same integration! With the next home assistant release we will archive the custom integration as it won’t be needed anymore.

The only reason we haven’t done that yet is because most of the sensors are missing currently because I had to submit the integration in parts.

Yep that kit combined with the network module should be all you need

Excellent, thanks so much for a quick reply.

Perfect. Do you have any experience of using an ethernet to wi-fi adapter such as this: BrosTrend AX1500 WiFi 6 Universal WiFi to Ethernet Adapter with Gigabit Port with the B426-M? Getting an ethernet cable to where I would like to mount the panel from any of my network switches will be rather difficult (albeit not impossible).

All the features have now landed in home assistant core, so the HACS integration will be deprecated soon, as all the features are now in core.

Migration from HACS to core will unfortunately have to be removing the integration fully and then setting it up again, but at least you can now use discovery to find the panel and won’t need to set its ip address manually, which also has the benefit of not relying on fixed addresses anymore!

That does unfortunately mean in some cases entity names will change and you may need to set automations up again, but there isn’t a whole lot we can do about that unfortunately.

I have not tried one of those adapters myself, but assuming that latest ip module update fixes things i don’t see any problems with using one.

Has anyone else had issues with the built in integration with the latest HA version 2025.6.1? mine kept throwing up errors and after i removed it and tried to add it again now it wont add.

What errors?

It now just comes up with unknown error when I try to add the integration. With nothing showing in the ha logs. I can’t remember what the previous errors were before uninstalling which isn’t very helpful. I was hoping others might be having the same issue after the latest ha update but it might just be a problem on my end.

Thanks - upgrading now. Hope this will help with the random disconnect

Just finish upgrade to 3.15

One thing Notice is login in web UI is a lot faster (this is very promising) and a nicer looking UI.

@sanjay900 have you notice on firmware 3.15 arming the system give this error?
" WARNING (MainThread) [bosch_alarm_mode2.panel] Detected possible command skew: resetting connection."

something happens during the exit delay cause it to disconnect from the panel. Arming from the RSC+ app give correct status report.

Try a full power cycle the alarm, not just the IP module. Disconnect IP module, Disconnect battery, disconnect power wait 30sec
then reconnect power, reconnect battery. reconnect ip module.

I use one of these, and it work fine. the module is 100M so no need for anything fancy.

@Orange-GT3 when buying the alarm panel request to have latest firmware, if not you also need one of these to upgrade the firmware

Thanks @huu, I had been wondering about that so appreciate the heads up.

tried this unfortunately still coming up with unknown error when trying to add the integration. Never had this problem before this latest HA version.

Have you able to enter the web page with the IP of the module.

mb: upgrade the lastest firmware 3.15 its a lot more stable

Yeah I can access the b426m webpage. I looked at firmwares but in on 3.13 and 3.15 seems to only be for b426 not b426m?

the link by @sanjay900 above is work for M
