Hello. I bought a used ha green. The iPhone ha app recognizes it on the network and I can connect to it but asks for user/pass. I tried to reset by holding down the reset button, then plugging power. However, the yellow light gives a repeating double blink, not a solid yellow. According to the instructions, it must have ha prior to 13.1. I took a cursory look at the alternative reset procedure that requires a SD card backup and am a little hesitant as I am a mac user and have little experience with windows/linux. Any feedback would be appreciated
It is clear you did your research before posting, but you might not have found this:
If that does not help: You say are hesitant to use an SD card backup. Is it your intention to keep the setup of the previous owner (I’m not sure you can) or start fully fresh? For that you do not need a backup, but you do need an sd card to reinstall HAOS.
The cautions are there because it cleans out everything, but that seems to me is what you’d want because you do not want leftovers from the previous owner. Even if it was configured for your home, you need to trust the previous owner to keep whatever they did. They may have done something unwise, either intentionally or unintentionally.
