To keep aligned with the messaging we prefer, I have changed the title of this post to be more agnostic with “Home Approved” instead of “Wife Approved”.
There are plenty of other members of a household other than a spouse - and not all spouses fall under the “wife” category.
We have completed a small batch trial production, and there is still room for adjustments in software and functionality before the official release. We have found a few interested users willing to give it a try—would you like to join?
This product seems to be designed for controlling traditional TRIAC dimmable lights, whereas our product is mainly focused on solving the control issues for smart bulbs.
Are you referring to the “soft scenes” in ZHA or the “hard scenes” in Z2M? I prefer the latter, which is also one of the main reasons I chose Z2M. If your switch supports hard scenes, I would definitely give it a try without hesitation. This is exactly the kind of product I’ve been looking for.
Yes, the second button on our switch does support Zigbee native (hard) scenes, but it requires your lights to support Zigbee scene storage and recall. If they do, the response speed will be significantly improved, and you won’t have to worry about HA going down or restarting. However, if your lights don’t support it, our switch can also be set to a “Edge Intelligence” mode, allowing you to flexibly define “soft scenes” using either ZHA or Z2M.
That’s great! I’m really looking forward to this product being able to connect directly with my Zigbee lights. Please keep me updated on any product release information as soon as possible! Also, if HA officially integrates the hard scene functionality into the ZHA interface for easy setup, that would be perfect!
I would be willing to try.
I have a 100m2 house, all philip wiz wifi bulbs. I love them.
And they are controlled with diy made mmwave ld2410 sensors running with esphome.
Combined with automations, timers and adaptive lightning, works awesome!
Nearly ever need to touch the lights at all.
But…
The ability to override, turn on/off or change the scene from a wall switch is what my family miss. The kids dont have phones yet and wife dont want to tinker with hers to change things in a dashboard, by pressing override button and then change lights etc…
Havent found a good candidate yet.
Maybe yours are?
Tell me more!
Would be happy to review and beta test if stil needed.
If you’re releasing to the US, can we assume these will be UL/CSA certified? None of this CE stuff? If I’m putting something in my wall, it better be properly certified. If you’re not going to have the appropriate certifications, buyers beware!
Yes, this is exactly the idea we’re trying to promote: “ Live the fun of our smart home, leave the convenience to our family”
We’d absolutely love to have you as one of our first testers!
Currently, due to certification processes, our launch on Amazon may be slightly delayed.
If you’re interested in testing our products early, please feel free to send an email to our support team at [email protected]. We’ll register your interest and stay in touch with further updates.
Sorry I haven’t been active on the forum much after the first week.
In fact, after communicating with our initial testers, we’ve made some adjustments to the product release timeline.
Thank you for your reply — I’ll make sure to post an update in this thread once the final schedule is confirmed.
