I got a Broadling RM4 Pro wifi IR remote to automate the old dumb TV and AV receiver, and everything worked well with their app.
When it comes to integrate with HA, though, I can go with no problems through the process of learning the codes (the script gets executed, I get notified one by one of which buttons to press, etc), but the configuration file supposed to be at ./configuration/.storage/ is nowhere to be found (the folder does not even exist).
What am I doing wrong?
The folder is “config/.storage” and the files start with “broadlink_remote_”. You shouldn’t need to refer to the files, unless you forget the name of the learned command.
That’s the point - there is no such folder and the command comes up as unknown.
I am not sure what I need to do to fix it. Is the integration supposed to create the folder itself or does it need to be there already?
Ah, you originally said you were looking in ./configuration/.storage/, but it’s in /config/.storage. It would be odd for that folder not to exist, because HA stores data there.
