Energy Cards Builder
Energy Cards Builder allows you to automatically generate beautiful, interactive energy consumption cards for Home Assistant with just a few clicks. No more manual YAML configuration – just select your energy devices and download ready-to-use card configurations!
Requirements
To use this feature, you need to have installed the following Home Assistant Community Store (HACS) cards:
- stack-in-card - Layout and styling management
- config-template-card - Dynamic variable handling
- apexcharts-card - Interactive charts and visualizations
Supported BTicino Components
F520 - Single Phase Energy Meter
Single-phase energy meter for monitoring electrical consumption in residential installations. Perfect for tracking individual circuits or appliances.
F521 - Triple Single-Phase Energy Meter
Energy meter with three independent single-phase channels. Perfect for monitoring multiple circuits or separate loads across different phases in your electrical system. Each channel measures independently.
3522N - Load Control Module (NodyBox)
Advanced load control module that not only measures energy consumption but also provides automatic load management capabilities. Enables smart load shedding and priority-based consumption control.
Data Storage Strategy
BTicino's load control system implements an intelligent data retention strategy:
Hourly Data: Last 12 months
- Detailed hourly consumption records are preserved for the past year
- Ideal for analyzing daily patterns, peak hours, and seasonal trends
Monthly Data: Last 5 years
- Aggregated monthly consumption data spanning five years
- Perfect for long-term trend analysis and year-over-year comparisons
- Helps identify efficiency improvements and usage patterns
CSV Export & Data Analysis
Thanks to Sdomotica Gateway, you're no longer limited to the built-in visualizations. You can:
Download hourly and monthly consumption data in CSV format
Perform detailed custom analysis in Excel, Python, or any data analysis tool
Create your own reports and visualizations
Identify consumption anomalies and optimization opportunities
Share data with energy auditors or consultants
How It Works
- Select your energy devices from the Energy Cards Builder interface
- Choose the time period (Daily, Monthly, or Yearly)
- Download the YAML card configuration with a single click
- Copy into Home Assistant Lovelace and enjoy instant energy insights!
The cards automatically fetch data from your BTicino system and display:
