Bticino Living Now: Delayed Light/Shutter Status Updates

Hello,
I have set up my entire home with Home Assistant and have just started testing it.

Among other things, I also have shutters and lights with Bticino Living Now, and I have configured these switches using the Netatmo integration. However, I notice significant delays in updating the status on HA. For example, if I turn on the light from the switch, the ON state appears on HA only after a few minutes.

Did I do something wrong? Is this a common issue, and are there any solutions?

Hello Donato Di Stasi,

Chances are that these are Tuya based devices and control their function by asking a China server in the cloud what to do first.

maybe buying a Zigbee dongle like this and configuring everything with this Zigbee instead of its gateway can solve the problem?

Yes a SONOFF Zigbee Dongle-P is a great choice. I would also suggest SLZB-06s if they are available to you. I run a mix of both, but feel the SLZBs perform better.

Yes, the SLZB-06s is available. There is a €100 difference between the two devices, so I might start with the SONOFF Zigbee Dongle-P if it’s a good choice.
Maybe in the future, I can upgrade my Home Assistant by purchasing the SLZB-06s.
