Warning!!
Switching a Ubiquiti PoE port by the integrated Home Assistant Unifi component will reset all custom port names to default names (port x) on that Ubiquity network switch.
Can only be retrieved by setting back a controller backup.
Noticed on Ubiquiti controller version 5.9.32, Network switch version 4.0.10.9653.

I wonder if that is what this means in the docs
Note that POE control actually configures the network port of the switch which the device is connected to.
I don’t think so. It’s not just the port which is switched but all the ports on the switch will lose it’s custom names.
In other words, when I switch port 1 of a 24 port network switch, all 24 ports will lose it’s custom description.
Can anyone confirm this?
What is the proper way to report this bug?
Thanks, but I don’t have a github account and I’m not planning to get one just for one bug report. When I have the time I will create one, though.
For the moment, I leave it this way.

I confirm this situation. When I tried to disable one port on my switch all port names were lost.

This should be fixed in 0.86
I will test once I get the beta up and running.
Thanks @Wojtek @olbjan . It’s appreciated.

I checked that not only port names disappeared but this component don’t recognize uplink and downlink ports.

Just tested this on .86b1 and the integration no longer kills the switch config!
