I’ve got an ESP32-S3-BOX that I’m trying to update to using the latest micro wake word bits. While ESPHome was installed previously, it wouldn’t upgrade. So I blank flashed the device, which is fine. I’m trying to build the firmware per ESP32-S3-BOX voice assistant - Home Assistant – but every time I do it either fails, or crash reboots my entire home assistant (Blue). I have other machines (Linux, Mac and Windows), is there a way for me to try and build this firmware setup on a different machine?
Yes you can set up esphome on whichever computer you like.

Sure. RPi 3 or Blue resources sometimes not enough.
You can install ESPHome on any available PC, f.e. and compile/flash ESP device from it.

When I moved my HA installation from a pi4 to an old laptop my compile times reduced radically.
Different approach this topic, but more just to mention that using more resources really does help.
