Building a Commercial Linux-Based Smart Home Hub – Need Advice!

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a commercial Linux-based smart home hub designed to boot directly into a custom interface (built on Home Assistant) and use a local LLM (like LLaMA 3 or Mistral) for voice/text assistance. The goal is to create a plug-and-play device that prioritizes privacy, local processing, and a seamless user experience.
What’s the best way to make a Linux system (Yocto/Ubuntu Core?) boot straight into a kiosk-mode app?
