BWT - Best Water Technology - Support

…and thanks for sharing your code :+1:

Hi Holger,
first I was a little bit surprised that this works, but after a second, i have realized that this line affects only the BWT Aqua perla sensor.
The blendedwater-sensor get its information from the initial configuration…
Sascha

Hi Sascha,
I added the line, just in case, won’t be harmeful

hey, everyone is happy with cloud based solution or is there any interest on VNC and OCR based solution?
I was thinking about accessing to web interface using python VNC and read the values real time (almost) rather than daily. I want this to catch continuous/unexpected water flow.

Or, I might need to read all the latest updates on this post first

Hi fuatakgun,
The latest beta firmware provides a local API solution.

I am living in Luxemburg and couldn’t find the responsible customer support team yet

I sent you a PM.

@S-Przybylski and @FlyByWire

Have you checked your Engery Dashboard? There were a lot of problems with the cloud version when you loaded the values more often during the day and when restarting HA.

Does it look better there with the local API that there are correct values in the Energy Dashboard with water consumption and a total_increasing or total sensor?

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to test it yet because the firmware has been delayed for 3 months. I’m still waiting for approval from BWT.

Using the local one I have no issues so far.
I got the firmware after asking 3 times by accepting the conditions.

Maybe ask for the most current beta again. I have contacted the BWT Profiline (Germany) - [email protected]

Maybe that helps

Thanks, will give it a try.

Ok nice, did you try to restart you system one or two times during a day?

Yes not sure if I try the Beta and the accept the conditions. It’s confusing that they postponed it for 3 month. I mean it’s not really a big and complex API.

same here.

I tried using the curl command / HA restarts many times.
The local API seems not to be throttled somehow.

thanks all, my device had finally updated with 2.0209 but I could not find how to enable local api? any help is appreciated. I enabled the local api on the device Settings / General Information / Connection / API menu.

Is it still beta firmware or GA?

Beta version

Ok thanks for the update

Hello,
Another one with this decalcifier, due to this post and a very good price I got.
Last monday it updated to 2.018, but there is no local api there, and it lost ipv4 connectivity after a couple of hours, so no vnc connection then. With the previous firmware, 2.017 I also lost ipv4 connectivity but it last longer…
Anyway, I would like to update to the beta and get rid of bwt app but, I contact customer service in Spain and they don’t have a clue about this…the technician even told me that to update the firmware,a person should go to my place to do that…it cannot be done other way, he said…:face_with_monocle:
In this thread there is an e-mail : [email protected]
So I guess I’ll get in contact with them and see what they tell me.
One question: what about get the total control of this linux unit? I mean there is a ssh server there…could be a interesting approach get root and , that way we could get all the sensors (motion sensor for instance) and switches under our control…not easy, sure…

That must be a hoax.
At least in my case, nobody came to do an update locally.

Well, it was more his lack of knowledge about this unit than a hoax, I guess. He told me that they had sell 2 or 3 units in Spain of this model…
And for sure, they update the unit through internet, mine has updated two times already (factory version-2.017-2.018)

I got in contact through the e-mail but, I just got a pdf with the curls commands, they didn’t update me the firmware. I sent other e-mail asking it again but, no answer yet…
