I have tweaked my WiFi network from here to kingdom come nearly to perfection with only one “design flaw” issue.
I have a couple Plus Plug US units into which are plugged a wireless access point. Because of this, each of these smart plugs are restricted on my wifi network to only be connected to any access point in my network except for the one plugged into it for obvious reasons!
The problem becomes, the WiFi connection for them are a little weak. The only reason for these smart plugs is to completely power off and back on it’s access point.
I control my home through Home Assistant. What I would like to do is to have something set on the shelly itself (which can be called directly from Home Assistant) which be something like a script that would run locally to just turn off the power, wait 30 seconds, and then turn the power back on again. If I could do this, than I could have the plug connected directly to the access point plugged into it for WiFi (and then it’s signal wouldf be much stronger)…
Thoughts?
