Hi, I was wondering how to tell Alexa to trigger a script I’ve created that I exposed to Alexa. It shows up in my list of “scenes”, yet i cannot figure out how to actually add it to a routine.
I don’t know if mine is the best way, but for what it’s worth I was using it for a couple of years before subscribing to Nabu Casa. (I don’t know if the same is available in the Nabu Casa Alexa integration).
I use the Noew Red Alexa Home node. Using that node and the service provided by it’s author, I can define just about anything.
For example, I am diabetic, and I wear a CGM to monitor my blood glucose. I can ask Alexe “Alexa, turn on blood” and Alexa will respond with my current glucose level.
I have a few: In Alexa, create a routine. Select the trigger, in the actions select “Smart home”, then “Scenes” and select your scene.
Interesting.
I was hoping to use a scene for the built-in “home” and “away” routines, but it seems scenes are not an option for those. They are though for any other routine. Does anybody know why?
