Unfortunately, Critical Notification does not function for me; the push notification always arrives as a regular message. Does anyone have any suggestions? Critical Notification - iOS only is enabled.
I just wanted to thank you for creating this blueprint! I’ve tried 3 other blueprints and only one worked (but only allowed motion sensor triggers). It’s one of the first things I’ve tried on HA that worked right out of the box.
I’m using a Tapo 121 camera and get access to HA when away from home by using Tailscale (that was an ordeal to set up, as a noob).
I have a question: Is there a way to automatically delete old snapshots after a set time period, say a week, a month, or whatever.
Even without those extras I already love it and I haven’t used it other than bench testing. Do you have a link so I can buy you coffee?
I may have spoken a little too soon. The blueprint is working, but it keeps sending the same snapshot from this morning, not the current view. Is there an easy fix for that? I have the file path for the most current snapshot set to default, i.e. /media/snapshots/{{ states[camera].object_id }}/last_motion.jpg
I found out what the problem was. The IP address had changed after a reboot since we had a power failure this morning. I need to allocate an IP address. So it is working great again and I still want to buy you a coffee or two!
I’m not sure where to post this, but since it has to do with this blueprint, I’ll try here. This automation using this blueprint works fine when I use a certain entity as a trigger (Tuya contact sensor). But if I try to use the Tuya Local version of that entity as a trigger, it doesn’t work. You might say there must be something wrong with the entity, but I use that same entity in another automation and it works fine. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot that?
Answering my own question again. The reason is the other blueprint that worked was waiting for any state change while this blueprint waits for a state change from off to on. I was able to get around that by adding another trigger which allows you to tailor the state change needed for a trigger. Wow, @therealfalsereality, you really thought of everything. Sure I can’t buy you coffee?
Hi, i am using your blueprint with a Tp-link C110 camera
HA on Docker - Raspberry PI5,
when I manually run the automation it saves and it also send an alarm to my phone, the problem is that it doesnt get triggered when the camera detects motion, in my tapo app I get notified but the automatio in HA doen’t get triggered. I ve tested it with “When motion detection is on or off” (by changing the setting in the tapo app, and it works (so i guess it communicates with the tp-link servers or the camer). The problem is it doesnt get trigger by entity - "Motion detection changes state or any attributes "
am i doing something wrong ?

Would it possible to add multiple camera snapshots to a single notification?
lol, sure!
you may have to use something else for a trigger. Ensure that that switch changes state when motion is detected, as a switch entity, it likely does not.
I cannot, that is the limitation of this blueprint. You'll need to make one for each camera.
