Just a little question, be grateful if it could be confirmed.
I’ve recently saved up and bought a Pi 5, after a complete failure to use the Home Assistance Voice hardware on the Pi 3B…I think we all knew that would happen (though I thought I had the 4B at least)
So I just wondered if I could import the tar backup file into a newly installed Home Assistant installation on the Pi 5? I do have a zigbee stick installed to the 3B, perhaps that makes it less straight forward?
I seem to remember that during the install you’re offered the option of loading a backup? That should work across machines - it did when I went from RPi to X86-64. Providing you’re installing HAOS.
I have moved configs from RPi3 to RPi4 to Bare-metal laptop to Proxmox.
Only a few adjustments are needed, like the USB path to connected USB sticks and maybe the network URL in settings, if the machine gets another name.
