Can Xiaomi monitor light bar be controlled without being flashed to ESPHome?

Model number: MJGJD02YL. There’s a fantastic doc on how to flash Tasmota/Esphome to the ESP32 chip, yet I’m afraid I’ll probably damage the fragile pins during the disassembling. Is there a way to control the device from another ESP32?
