Can you associate a helper to a device?

I have a frient sensor that counts the pulses of my electricity meter. When adding a utility meter helper, those helpers appear on the device info page like so (the helpers are the top two):-

I was wondering if there is a way to associate other helpers to devices like this ?

I have a co2 sensor that has a display that can be controlled (on/off/brightness) but I can only do this with MQTT publish messages, it does not expose any entities, so whilst I can control it fine using an automation or script, it would be nice to associate say a toggle helper to the device, which in turn turns an automation to turn the display on or off.
