Hi,
I have this led strip controller and I wanted to ask if it can be flashed by ESPHome?
This is an old one I bought years ago but it can be found here .
On the board there these pins: 3.3V, GND, RXD, TXD, EN
Also the chip in the middle has this: s908708 21950
On the PCB there are:
ZJ-WFcd-IR V2.5
94V-0 ZXH-2 RoHS
I found this: Flashing my Magic Home LED strip controller - #7 by finity
but that’s a version with one output. It should’t matter because the remote controls both outputs but the version is still
Thanks.
I also found it this but that one is different version and I have EN pin instead of GPIO0. I don’t understand it enough to say if it’s the same as I found that the EN pin is resetting.

So take a magnifying glass and have a look at the markings on the chip (if any).

Same chip, different angle…

I don’t know if it wasn’t clear from my post but I already included that in my initial text.

Is it a BL602 chip bit difficult to make out on the photos. If it is do your research as projects affiliated to the BK72xx mention it, but I’d probably look elsewhere.
Doesn’t look like the usually realtek or beken. Maybe bouffalo?

**Describe the problem you have/What new integration you would like**
The cla… ssic MagicHome LED controllers just switched from ESP8266 to an SoC called BL602, apparently based on RISC-V. I accidentally got one while ordering LED controllers from AliExpress, expecting to get the classic ESP one. **They're probably all gonna switch to this SoC**, which is also way better (supports Bluetooth). I'd be happy to help test the porting!

**Please describe your use case for this integration and alternatives you've tried:**
ESPhome does not support this new SoC yet, neither do Tasmota and others.

Hello,
will you support BL602 chips too in the future ?

My photos were just for @orange-assistant .
Not to confuse with photos/chip OP has.

That’s just a logo of the chip maker. I triple checked the numbers and they are correct. I can’t google anything with this combination unfortunately.

I managed to get a clear picture. The 8 may be a B but also that didn’t help me find anything.

No it wasn’t clear.
s908708 vs s9070b.
Not espressif. If you have time to dedicate, have a look if you find something here:
i read how everybody is pissed off at the cheap magichome devices not working correctly in homeassistant. eg: slow to respond, status is incorrectly polled etc
i’ve aquired a magichome to create some night-pee-light to fit under the bed that comes on at night when triggered by a xiaomi/aqara motion sensor and i had exactly the same problems.
those magichome devices run on ESP’s that are flashable with esphome.
the one i had had these connections.
