Cannot access Home Assistant via IP or http://homeassistant.local:8123

I’m running Home Assistant in a KVM Virtual Machine on my Debian computer. I think I followed all of the instructions correctly, and it’s accessible locally, but I’m unable to access http://homeassistant.local:8123 or via my phone.

I’ve been trying to follow FAQs and ChatGPT (I know, sorry), which suggests that maybe the problem is network binding inside the VM.

“Home Assistant must be configured to bind to all interfaces (0.0.0.0) and then restarted so it is reachable from other devices on the LAN”

I don’t know if this is true, or how I would check? If anyone could give me some advice, that would be much appreciated.

What IPv4 address is it reporting in the console?

It says no address! There is an IPv6 address.

And for more information: Virtual Network interface is set to Bridge Device. The device name is br0, device model e1000
