I have a question about adding a GREE U-Match A/C unit to Home Assistant. The unit uses an XE7A-24/HC (Wi-Fi) wired controller to connect to the internet. I added it to the Gree+ app without any problems, and the controller is currently on version 1.44.
Based on the official Gree integration docs, every unit working with the Gree+ app should also work with Home Assistant. However, no matter what I try, I cannot add it to HA. The official integration simply says that no devices were found. I also tried using the custom Gree A/C integration with no success. I even successfully obtained the encryption key from the unit, but it made no difference.
If anybody has a similar problem or a solution on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it. Based on my research, this specific controller might not work out-of-the-box with Home Assistant, but I really hope someone has found a workaround.
