Cannot add Dyson fans

Hello Community

I have been using a Dyson Pure Cool since years ago and all is fine.
I recently bought 2 PC1 fans.
I added them to the Dyson app and they automatically appeared on Google home too.

I am now trying to configure them in Home Assistant (version 2025.10.4 on a Raspberry Pi 4, Dyson integration version 1.7.0).

They were automatically discovered as you can see here below:

Nevertheless, when I try to add them I have the below error for each of them (regardless if I input the IP address, which I understand should not be mandatory)

The log file shows this:

2025-12-11 17:37:41.172 ERROR (MainThread) [libdyson.dyson_device] Failed to receive first data from device
2025-12-11 17:37:41.661 ERROR (MainThread) [custom_components.dyson_local.config_flow] Failed to connect to device serial=9HE-CH-UDA0549A, device_type=438, host=10.25.20.170: DysonConnectTimeout ()

Anybody got the same issue? How could I solve it?

Thank you
Stefano

I would start by updating that to see if that fixes it. Something may have changed.

I actually started from the latest version, and it didn’t work. Then I rolled back to get the log file available

It seems like there is no way to make them work with HA.
I am returning them

The connectivity issue for the new device can be resolved by following suggestions from this thread. Dyson pure+cool do non connect anymore

Instead of using the default prompt to add a new device, select the manual setup option. Retrieve the token key from your Dyson account and try choosing different devices from the list. In my experience, the Purifier Hot+Cool M Series (HP11/HP1) was successful.
