I’m on the most recent update for home assistant and run
HAOS. Whenever I navigate to the history for an entity and then click the three dots to download the history, I get a notification at the bottom that says “Not Supported”. I can see history for my entities and ensured that the reporter option is still in my configuration file. I’m not really sure where to go from here as I couldn’t find anything related in my searches.
That should be recorder:
not reporter, but as your history charts are working I’m going to assume it was a typo in your post not your config.
Do you also have history:
or default_config:
in your configuration.yaml file?
Do you have a valid time range selected?
Look in Settings → System → Logs for relevant issues with the database and recorder.
So this turned out to be user error. I had been mostly trying to get data from a project box I took to work to monitor some battery levels and due to a VPN on work laptops, I had to rely on the app. I just tried thought a web browser and it worked fine. Stupid of me to not have tried that before, but the fact that the app itself has the download option made me assume the app on my tablet or phone had that functionality.
Thank you for your time. It’s so often the simply solution and getting caught up in how I’m trying to use it made me overlook alternatives.
I wonder if app functionality is coming.
Which app?
I just tried it using the Companion App for iOS and it worked.
The Android companion app. It failed to work on two devices for two different instances. I checked permissions but do not see a permission related to the app accessing files/storage.
Want me to move this to the Android Companion App category?
The app developers often read and respond there.
Sure, that’d be great. I was looking how to submit something to them so this would be perfect.
