Cannot log in from companion app to nabu casa

I can use nabu casa URL from mobile browser.
I can connect from companion app when on local WiFi
But I cannot log on using companion app when remote.

I have tried setting companion arr url to “use home assistant cloud”, although I do not understand how it knows what nabu casa URL to use…

I have tried pasting the nabu casa URL that works in the browser. Neither option allows connection when remote. It used to work, but no longer.

The one thing that may be indicative is that I recently installed nabu casa on a new SSD and restored a backup. No idea if that causes issues. But the server is definitely connected to nabu casa.

Maybe I need to reinstall the android app?

You installed “Home Assistant”. Nabu Casa is a company.

They have a support page. Please go through the troubleshooting steps then if you still have issues open a support ticket (you get support from them for Cloud issues as part of your monthly payments).

I reinstalled the app, reconnected to Home Assistant, etc. It does look like it is working well now. I do not know what it was, but my settings all work now. Thanks.
